If you’re not doing anything from 4:30 – 9:00pm, the annual ZooLights at Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo is a must see. It’s a fun, family-oriented event that’s free! Luckily, you won’t have to bundle up as Chicago temps are going to be above average.
With it’s initial opening on November 25th, Black Friday and a lighting ceremony, the event has been packed ever since. They have live ice-sculpture carvings, musical light shows, holiday snacks and drinks and free crafts for kids. There is parking at the zoo but your best bet is to take public transit or a ride-sharing service.
There’s still time! Open from December 26 through January 1st from 4:30-9:00pm. Tons more info is on their site, check it out: LP ZooLights.
